This Bee’s Knees cocktail has been Max’s latest obsession.
It used to be Old Fashioned’s. But then I think he got bored with having those every day and decided to switch things up.
I’m not complaining. I was never a huge Old Fashioned fan anyway. Brandy’s not really my thing. I’ll drink the Old Fashioned’s to prove to myself that I can live amongst the folk in Wisconsin. But, let’s be honest, I really just like to eat the garnishes. Those drinks are way too strong for me.
But these. Oh man…
These are delicious. The combo of gin + honey + lemon is amazing. Plus, I get to feel super swanky drinking from a coupe glass. Kind of reminds me of that time, a few weeks ago, when we took a trip to Chicago and visited The Violet Hour.
You know, now that I think about it, our recent Chicago trip must have been what re-ignited this prohibition-era drink obsession in Max. It all makes sense now!
He even waited in line to get into this bar. And you guys, Max never waits in line.
So, of course, here are the obligatory, super high quality nighttime iPhone photos from right outside the secret door of the old speakeasy. I know you’re impressed 😉
But what you are witnessing right here is a miracle. He’s actually waiting!!! And he sort of has a smile on his face.
