The hall bathroom is coming along nicely! I talked about some of the changes we wanted to do to this bathroom in the previous post. And now I finally snapped some photos to share the progress we’ve made so far.
But before I show the progress photos let’s remember where we started! The walls were two different colors – yellow(ish) and green. And the cabinet and mirror was a dark brown.

We started this room by painting the mirror and cabinet white and replacing the hardware. Then we painted the walls a dark blue. We also replaced the light fixture to something a little more industrial looking. Then we finished off with a bit of art above the toilet.
And for the reveal!
Dun dun dunnnnnn….
I think it’s coming together pretty well. I would eventually like to replace the countertop and sink, because right now it really doesn’t go with the rest of the room.
But so far, just a little bit of paint has made a big difference without putting a ton of money into this space. I was worried about using a dark color at first, but now I’m really happy with the choice. I’m surprised how much bigger a dark color can make a small room look. You probably can’t tell from the photos, but in person this room feels a lot more spacious now.
